Lynn Kirsten Clarke
I am a contemporary jewellery designer-maker based in the Angiddy Valley near Tintern. Originally from Suffolk, I moved to Wales a few years ago where I was able to concentrate on my life-long passion for jewellery making.
I work mainly in sterling silver, taking year-round inspiration from the wild plants that grow in the hedgerows and woodland beyond my house. As a keen forager with a lifelong fascination for wild-flowers, I am constantly on the lookout for plants with interesting forms that will translate effectively into jewellery: from the first Catkins in early spring to the frost-covered umbelliferous seed heads in the winter. My jewellery not only reflects a strong interest in natural forms but also with the seemingly limitless possibilities of silver, which can be forged, hammered and textured to create an array of different pieces.
