VENUES AND PARKING

Where is Penallt?
- Pelham Hall is located at NP25 4AH approx. four miles south of Monmouth, off the Trellech - Chepstow Road. Click here for more information

Is there car parking? – Yes, there is ample car parking available and it is free of charge. The Main Car Park is conveniently situated in a field directly opposite the entrance to Pelham Hall & Penallt Tennis Club, at postcode NP25 4AH. To help ease village traffic, visitors are encouraged to use this car park for all three venues and follow pedestrian signs, as each location is within a 10-15 minute walk. For more information, please refer to our event map.

Don’t worry if you have mobility issues, there is car parking for The Bush Inn and Gwent Wildlife Trust. The car park for both venues is 100m to the left of the Bush Inn and stewards will be on hand to assist.

Stewards will be present to guide you as you arrive and depart the parking locations.

Is there disabled parking? – Yes, there is disabled parking at each of the 3 venues. Follow the signs to disabled parking, you will be asked to show a blue badge. For:

Is there Disabled Access and Facilities? - – Pelham Hall provides accessible toilets as well as a lift to access the first floor. There is also baby changing facilities.

Stewards will be on hand to ensure your visit is as comfortable and convenient as possible.
There is an accessible toilet at Gwent Wildlife Trust’s Pentwyn Barn.

Are dogs allowed on site? Well behaved dogs on leads are allowed at the following locations, with some restrictions noted.

Pentwyn Farm - please note there are livestock grazing
Pelham Hall - downstairs at Pelham Hall. Please note the following: dogs are not permitted on the Cricket Pitch area to the rear of Pelham Hall; Assistance dogs only are permitted in the gallery space upstairs at Pelham Hall.

What do I do if I lose my child? Muster points will be in place at The Bush Inn and Pelham Hall. Please alert a member of the Art in Penallt Team.

TICKET AND EXHIBITION INFORMATION

Can I get there on public transport? - The 65 bus travels between Monmouth and Chepstow and will only be available on Saturday as it doesn’t run on Sundays and Bank Holidays. Please check the latest timetable before planning your journey (Click for timetable)

If I buy a painting, can I take it away immediately? Yes, during the main event 23-25 August you can take your purchase with you. Alternatively, we are happy to ‘red dot’ items and leave them in place, as would be the case during the private view event.

Can I pay with a credit or debit card? We have facilities for taking card payments.

How much does it cost to visit Art in Penallt? This year Art in Penallt takes place across 3 venues; Pelham Hall, The Bush Inn and Gwent Widlife’s Trust Pentwyn Farm.  Entry fee is £7 on the day, or £6 advance online (plus booking fee), under 16s go free.  Tickets on the day should be purchased at Pelham Hall.

Wristbands, as proof of purchase will be required for entry to Pelham Hall and The Bush Inn. Workshop tickets offered by Art in Penallt include general entry over the weekend.  There is no entry fee for visitors to visit just Gwent Widlife’s Trust Pentwyn Farm site.

Gwent Wildlife Trust will be running a number of their own workshops and activities over the weekend, tickets for which can be purchased via their website.  These GWT workshop tickets do not include access to Pelham Hall and the Bush Inn within the cost of the workshop ticket.  Entry to GWT’s Pentwyn Farm site will not require a wristband, but any visitors wishing to visit the exhibitions and demonstrations at Pelham Hall and The Bush Inn will require Art in Penallt general entry tickets which can be purchased at Pelham Hall and the Bush Inn.
